Rights and responsibilities gives people the skills to recognise and speak out when their rights have been infringed and educates them on how to address and resolve their complaints.

The workshops include:

  • Golden rules - outlines seven golden rules including exercising rights and knowing responsibilities in relation to financial products and services.
  • The hard sell - outlines how terms and conditions can impact on consumer rights and responsibilities and how to deal with selling techniques that can pressure people into making uninformed decisions on the spot.
  • Your right to complain - addresses how to make a complaint about companies or agencies that do not provide agreed services, who to complain to and the usual way complaints are processed.
